Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using Hoop Addicts (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and The Tech Jonin ("we", "us", or "our").

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Hoop Addicts. By using the App you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm you have parental or guardian consent.

Your Account

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
• You may not create an account on behalf of another person without their consent.
• Notify us immediately at thetechjonin@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

Using the App

Hoop Addicts lets you find, host, and join pickup basketball games. When using the App you agree to:

• Treat all other users with respect — no harassment, discrimination, or abusive behaviour.
• Provide accurate information when hosting or joining games.
• Show up to games you commit to, or cancel with reasonable advance notice.
• Not use the App for any unlawful purpose.
• Not attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or otherwise misuse the App or its backend.
• Not create fake accounts or manipulate ratings and reviews.

Hosting Games

As a game host you are responsible for:

• Ensuring you have the right to use the listed venue.
• Providing accurate details including location, time, skill level, and any game fees.
• Communicating promptly with players who request to join.
• Cancelling games with reasonable notice if needed.

We are not responsible for the conduct of hosts or players, or for any incident that occurs at a game arranged through the App.

Payments

Some games may have game fees set by the host. Payments are processed by Stripe. By making or receiving payments through the App you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.

• Hosts who collect fees must complete Stripe Connect onboarding before receiving payouts.
• Refunds are at the host's discretion unless the game is cancelled by the host, in which case players are entitled to a full refund.
• We may charge a service fee on transactions, which will be disclosed at checkout.

User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit (profile photos, game descriptions, etc.). By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it within the App. You confirm you have the right to submit any content you post.

We may remove content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines without notice.

Safety & Physical Activity

Basketball is a physical activity with inherent risks. By using the App to participate in games, you acknowledge these risks and take full responsibility for your own safety and physical fitness. We strongly recommend:

• Consulting a doctor before starting any new physical activity.
• Warming up properly before playing.
• Playing within your physical limits.
• Meeting other players in well-lit, public locations.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Tech Jonin is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in games arranged through the App.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time via the app settings. For detailed information about account deletion, including what data is deleted and retained, see our Account Deletion policy. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uptime, accuracy of game listings, or the conduct of other users. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, The Tech Jonin's total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes via the App or by email. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance.
