Account Deletion

We respect your privacy and your right to delete your account. This page explains how to request account deletion and what data is affected.
How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your Hoop Addicts account directly from the app at any time:
- Open the Hoop Addicts app on your device.
- Navigate to Profile (usually at the bottom right).
- Tap Settings or the gear icon.
- Scroll down and select Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
Note: This action is permanent and cannot be undone. Your account and associated data will be deleted as described below.
What Data Is Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
- Your user profile (name, email, phone number, bio)
- Your profile photo and uploaded images
- Your hosted game history and game listings
- Your joined game history and game attendance records
- Your user ratings and reviews left by other players
- Your saved preferences and app settings
- Your messages and chat history with other users
- Your player statistics and activity data
What Data May Be Retained
For legal, financial, and security reasons, we may retain certain anonymised or aggregated data after account deletion:
- Payment Records: Transaction histories required for tax, accounting, and payment processing compliance. These may include transaction amounts, dates, and payment method information (but not full payment details).
- Fraud & Abuse Prevention: Records of violations, account suspensions, and security incidents used to prevent fraudulent or abusive activity on the platform.
- Legal & Regulatory Compliance: Any data required to comply with applicable laws, regulations, or valid legal requests.
- Aggregated Analytics: De-identified, aggregated usage data that cannot be traced back to you (e.g., total number of games played, regional statistics).
Data Retention Periods
Retained data is securely stored and handled as follows:
- Payment & Financial Records: Retained for up to 7 years to comply with tax and accounting obligations. After this period, data is securely deleted.
- Fraud & Abuse Prevention Records: Retained for up to 2 years or as required by law. After this period, records are securely deleted or de-identified.
- Legal Holds: If we are subject to a legal hold or investigation, data may be retained for the duration required by law.
All retained data is subject to our Privacy Policy and is protected by appropriate security measures.
Cannot Access Your Account?
If you cannot access your account or are unable to delete it through the app, you can request account deletion by emailing us:

In your email, please:
- Include the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
- Provide the email address or username associated with your account
- Provide any additional information to help us identify your account
We will process deletion requests within 30 days and confirm completion by email.
